The models’ XL-5™ speed controls and high-torque 2056 servos now wear blue cases to signify they are waterproof, and a new, sealed receiver box holds Traxxas’ latest 4-channel micro receiver. With their completely sealed electronics, Traxxas XL-5 models can tackle water, mud, snow, and other wet conditions that park other R/C vehicles on the shelf. Only Traxxas has it!
In addition to their all-weather capability, the XL-5 models are now Brushless Ready™ with the same steel gears found in the brushless-equipped, VXL-edition Bandit, Stampede, and Rustler models.
