GreatPlanes AT-6 Texan 40 ARF

Countless WWII aces trained on the AT-6 Texan. Today, its fame continues in popular Reno Air Races. This Great Planes ARF captures the Texan's distinctive details in a .40-size model constructed almost entirely of wood, whose fast assembly, smooth aerobatics and forgiving flight can make you an "ace," too!

  • Rivals scratch-built kits for quality - from the mostly wood framework to the expertly applied Top Flite® MonoKote® covering.

  • Includes a photo-illustrated instruction manual, proven Great Planes brand hardware, and pre-painted fiberglass cowl.

  • Roomy radio compartment lets you reposition the servo tray to find the precise center of gravity for 2-stroke or 4-stroke engines.

  • Includes standard fixed landing gear - wheel wells and mounting rails are already in place for optional retracts.
AT-6 Texan parts layout
This Texan's major sections are prebuilt from top-quality woods and covered
with genuine MonoKote film. You can be flight-ready in only 16-20 hours!
dual aileron servos
Dual aileron servos add precision and authority to the Great Planes AT-6 Texan's aileron response for crisp, impressive maneuvers. The simplicity of the linkage also makes set-up of ailerons a snap.
elevator halves w/dual yokes
Elevator halves function independently using dual yokes - a "straight" linkage set-up that avoids twisting or bending of the pushrod for maximum control surface accuracy and authority. The elevators can be adjusted independently for maximum precision.

"We've built this ARF version of the AT-6 the way you'd build a kit for yourself—using choice materials, including genuine Top Flite MonoKote covering, and taking extra care with every detail. It's a model that warbird enthusiasts and sport pilots alike will be proud to fly."
